He portrayed the Tenth Doctor from 2005 to 2010, appearing in three series and nine special episodes, including five Christmas specials. These festive episodes are some of the most memorable and exciting adventures of the Tenth Doctor, featuring alien invasions, time travel, historical figures, and emotional farewells. The Christmas Invasion (2005)

The first Christmas special of the revived series and the first full-episode appearance of David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor. The episode follows the newly regenerated Doctor as he recovers from his transformation while Earth is threatened by an alien race called the Sycorax, who demand that either humanity surrenders or one third of them will die. The episode introduces some of the recurring elements of the Tenth Doctor's era, such as his sonic screwdriver, his catchphrase "Allons-y", and his fondness for Earth. The episode also features Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), Mickey Smith (Noel Clarke), Jackie Tyler (Camille Coduri), and Harriet Jones (Penelope Wilton) as the Doctor's allies.

The Runaway Bride (2006)

The second Christmas special of the series and a standalone episode that does not feature any companion. The episode introduces Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) as a temporary companion who is mysteriously transported from her wedding to the TARDIS. The Doctor and Donna have to stop a sinister plot by the Empress of the Racnoss (Sarah Parish), an ancient spider-like alien who plans to use Donna as a key to awaken her dormant children beneath the Thames. The episode explores the Doctor's loneliness after losing Rose in the previous series finale and foreshadows Donna's return as a full-time companion in the fourth series.

Voyage of the Damned (2007)

The third Christmas special of the series and one of the most watched episodes of Doctor Who. The episode features Kylie Minogue as Astrid Peth, a waitress on board the Titanic, a spaceship that resembles the famous ocean liner and is orbiting Earth on Christmas Eve. The Doctor joins Astrid as a passenger and soon discovers that the ship is in danger of crashing into Earth due to a sabotage by its owner, Max Capricorn (George Costigan). The Doctor and Astrid have to lead a group of survivors through the ship's obstacles and prevent the disaster. The episode also features a cameo appearance by Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott, Donna's grandfather who later becomes a companion in the fourth series.

The Next Doctor (2008)

The fourth Christmas special of the series and a pseudo-historical episode set in Victorian London. The episode features David Morrissey as Jackson Lake, a man who believes he is the Doctor after suffering from memory loss due to a Cyberman attack. The real Doctor meets Jackson and tries to help him recover his true identity while facing a new threat from the Cybermen, who have allied with Miss Hartigan (Dervla Kirwan), a ruthless woman who seeks to become their leader. The episode pays homage to some of the previous incarnations of the Doctor and reveals some of his secrets.

The End of Time (2009-2010)

The fifth and final Christmas special of David Tennant's era and also his last regular appearance as the Tenth Doctor. The two-part episode spans from Christmas to New Year's Day and features the return of some of the Doctor's enemies and allies, such as the Master (John Simm), Wilfred Mott (Bernard Cribbins), Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), Jackie Tyler (Camille Coduri), Mickey Smith (Noel Clarke), Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman), Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), and Rose Tyler (Billie Piper). The episode also introduces Timothy Dalton as Rassilon, the leader of the Time Lords, who plans to end time itself by escaping from the Time War. The episode culminates in an epic showdown between the Doctor, the Master, and Rassilon, and a heartbreaking farewell to the Tenth Doctor, who regenerates into the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith).
